What Does a Startup Branding Package Include?

Neil Mason · 4 November 2026 · 2 minute read

A useful startup branding package gives you the tools to introduce your business clearly and consistently. The right scope depends on what you need to launch—not how many items fit into a proposal.

Start with the business decision

Before choosing a logo or a colour palette, decide what the brand needs to help you do. Are you introducing a new business, explaining a complex offer, preparing for a launch or moving beyond an early identity? Those are different briefs. A founder testing one service may need a focused starter kit; a business with several products and a growing team needs a broader system.

I start by asking who you need to reach, what you want them to understand and what makes your offer different. That conversation shapes the deliverables. It also helps us avoid building assets that your team will rarely use.

The foundations: strategy, voice and identity

A fuller branding project connects positioning and audience thinking with naming, messaging and visual identity. The logo matters, but it is one part of the system. Typography, colour, imagery and tone of voice make the identity recognisable across a website, presentation, social post or printed piece.

Useful guidelines show people how to apply those decisions. A short, practical guide can be enough for a tightly scoped launch. A larger organisation may need detailed examples, templates and a handover that helps several teams work consistently.

Build the things you will use first

For many new businesses, the priority is a credible website, a clear presentation and a consistent LinkedIn presence. A retail or product business may need packaging and point-of-sale materials instead. Start with the places your audience will actually encounter you.

Ask whether a proposal includes design, copy direction, development and editable files. “Website” can mean a single launch page or a more involved build. Agree functionality, content responsibilities and approvals before work begins.

What do Mason’s packages cost?

My Fast Brand sprint starts at £6,500 and typically takes two weeks from an agreed brief, with content ready and prompt feedback. It includes a logo and essential files, a six-page editable PowerPoint, a LinkedIn profile logo and banner, a branded post template, a one-page responsive website and a three-page brand guide.

Brand foundations starts at £15,000 for deeper strategy, naming exploration and identity. Brand in full starts at £30,000 for a connected website and communications system. The complete picture starts at £50,000 and brings branding together with a launch campaign. These are starting points with an agreed scope; they are not identical projects at fixed prices.

Choose a scope you can put to work

Keep your first priorities clear. Name the audience, the launch date, the essential channels and the people who will approve the work. Hosting, software, licensing and advertising spend should be discussed separately so you can compare proposals fairly.

The best starting point is a brand your team can use with confidence. Explore the branding packages, watch the project films or book a free Brand Clinic to discuss the right scope.
